Where Are The Gentlemen?

When I am out an about around town running errands and taking care of business or just out, I have noticed how older men open the doors for their wives or girlfriends. I could probably watch for at least an hour before I see a young man open the door for his wife or girlfriend. Now don't get me wrong, there are still some gentlemen out there, but they are sure hard to find unless they are of the older generation, over forty at least.

But you know, I really don't blame the man for this I blame us women who wanted to be equal with the man. I blame all those women that told the man when he tried to open the door for her that she could get it and she didn't need his help. We were getting spoiled and WE put a stop to it. Personally I really like being pampered and treated like a lady and trust me you really do need to act like a lady to be treated like a lady. Ladies don't sit like men, ladies wear dresses at least some times, ladies don't walk around swearing and using abusive language, ladies don't get stupid drunk, ladies don't .well I had better stop while I am ahead. Anyway, my mother and grandmother always said that if a girl acts like a lady she will be treated like a lady. I know many of you out there are laughing at this old fashion lady right now but that's ok. If you have never been treated like a lady then you cannot very well miss it, can you? We ladies use to have it easy but we went and demanded equal everything and we certainly got them! Ladies use to have their doors opened for them, why a guy would literally get out of the car on his side, walk around to her side and open the door for her. Something else that I see often is in females lifting heavy items or carrying the heavy item when the man is right there. There was time that this would not be the case. Men use to jump to help a lady carry her books in school but I think that is unheard of now. Times has changed but we are still females right. If you ask me I think I got more than I wanted. I really miss the gentlemen.
