True Tones Vs. Ring Tones
I have always had a rather simple cell phone and an even simpler plan. Because I did not use my phone very often, I found that a prepaid plan worked the best for me. It gave me the time I needed at a very good price, and I didn’t have to worry about contracts. When the phone I was using finally died, I went in to get it replaced. When I did this, I was told that the prepaid plan I was using was no longer available, and I had to choose something else. When this happened, my phone became more complex, and there were things I could get that I hadn’t used before. This is when I learned there is a difference between ring tones and true tones.
There are many that use ring tones, but because I rarely used my phone, I never had the urge to get one. In fact, I got calls on my mobile phone so infrequently, it would scare me when it rang. I used it mostly for text, and you really don’t use a ring tone for that. With my new phone, I have unlimited calling for many on my contact list, and lots of free minutes. This is when I started using it more, and I looked around to see what I might like. I can now see why true tones are so popular.
I went through my phone and found the option to choose ring or true tones. I found a song that I liked, but the ring tone version of it sounded like someone was playing it on a keyboard, and it was a simple version. There were no vocals. This is common with some ring tones, and it was definitely not what I wanted on mine. I looked through the true tones section, and found that these were actual snippets of songs that I liked, but unfortunately, the one that I wanted was not working for some reason. I looked through more true tones, but found nothing else interesting enough to put on my phone.
I am going to keep checking back to see when the true tones have been updated, and hopefully the song that I want will be there soon. When you are searching out what you want, be sure to preview the ring tones before you buy. You may find that what you thought were true tone versions of songs are not. You don’t want to spend money on something that you will never use. However, if you love a song that might have some profanity, perhaps the true sounding tones are not the best option.

True tones are are actually pieces of songs you can use for your cellular phone when someone calls you. Ring tones are the songs themselves without vocals. They tend to have a more mechanical sound. True tones for some songs may include lyrics which are not appropriate for all places, so choose these wisely.
