Parents Advice
Probably one of the most difficult challenges you'll face in this world is becoming a parent. Although this choice is very rewarding and loaded with moments of utter bliss, there are also heartaches and downfalls to being a parent. Sometimes our children don't follow the path or make the choice we so hoped they would. And at times we need a little parents advice from others to get through things. This is totally normal and every parent should expect it at some point. Fortunately there are plenty of experienced folks to turn to for answers.
I never thought I'd say this, but the Internet is a great place to acquire parents advice. Now days there are helpful forums set up specifically for this. It only takes a minute to hop online and see what I mean. Parents are banding together to assist one another in raising children. Maybe you have a concern about your 14 year old daughter, who's been acting-out lately and responding to you in a disrespectful tone. Why not get parents advice from those who've been through this before? Allow fellow parents to make helpful suggestions. Just because you decided to become a parent, doesn't mean you will naturally have all the answers to raising a child right.
As a parent myself, I often look to my folks for parents advice. I know that they've been there and done that with four different children. I recall some of the ways they punished us and struggled to raise us properly. I even feel bad at times regarding the way I acted out as a teenager. It's definitely tough raising a child in this chaotic world. In my experience, I've certainly found that some things work better than others. So my parents advice to you is take advantage of negative reinforcement. As opposed to spanking or striking your child when they fail to behave, take something away. That laptop or cell phone is likely a crucial part of their daily life. Make restrictions and watch them squirm. This tends to achieve better results than hitting. Plus, you don't want your child to listen to you out of fear. It should be a respect/love thing. The more you communicate with your children, the less you'll have to worry.
Summary
Being a parent is a tough job, and finding good parent advice is as easy as talking to your family or neighbor. Most if us have been there done that, and can recommend things that work for a particular situation.
