When I was growing up, you had to wait for a new video. You never knew when your favorite artist would release something new, though the biggest stars often gave hints. The world premier of a video was a big deal, at least in the late 80s hair metal days. No matter what type of music you liked, you would have to wait until you happened to see what you wanted. Today, that has all changed, and you can see anything you want any time when you go online and look around.

You obviously can’t see a new video that has not been released yet, but if it is out there you can find it almost anywhere. Though some are not legally online, some of them are. Those are there for promotional reasons, and they are meant to be viewed. Some new videos get put up online without the people owning it doing so, and those are not always up long. However, if you search long and hard enough, you may just find what you are looking for. You may even be surprised and find older videos that you remember from your younger years.

What is great about a new video is that you get to hear new stuff from your favorite artist, and others that you like, and you can decide rather quickly if you want to go out and get the album. These are nothing more than promotional tools for artists, and they work very well in that regard. If you really think about it, back when MTV started, they were nothing more than a station full of advertisements, they were just advertisements for artists rather than just for products. MTV rarely runs a video these days, but when they first started, that was what they were all about.

You can find new video about anything, and music does not have to be involved. There are more videos online than anyone can count. Some are homemade, and some are professionally made, but many of them are great no matter who made them. If you are in the mood for a laugh, there is a new video out there that will give you just that. There is no end to what people will do and film, and then put online hoping that someone, somewhere will appreciate what they have done. It’s a whole new form of delivering entertainment that seems to captivate anyone who happens upon it.
