Listen To Your Children

There have been many times while teaching the children's Sunday school class that I have had to tell a child not to expose their family personal business to everyone. A child does not understand that he or she is exposing mom and dad's personal information, and that people will judge their parents according to what has been said by that child. Many children are suffering from lack of attention in many ways. Nowadays both parents usually work outside the home and many children are must take care of themselves.

Children are forced to grow up so very fast and it is a wonder what they are doing and seeing while parents are at work. I try to make it my point to hug and kiss my child each day and try to find out what is on her mind. Every child need to be hugged and told they are loved very often. Parents that love their children will spend more time with them teaching and being taught, so to speak. I learn a great deal from children and I don't take those little ones for granted. I look well into the situation as to who is doing what, where and why it is being done. There is a lot of peer pressure out there that is tearing many children apart. Some children are being teased humiliated due to the fact they are poor. Some children have such bazaar issues at home that they are extremely defensive or very quiet and reserved. I have been in a situation where a young girl thirteen years old came up to me could she stay with me because she was afraid to go home. This is really a cry out for help but she was afraid to tell me

why she did not want to go home. My heart goes out to these children and I work very heart to make a difference in their lives. We parents really have to be careful to raise our children and not let them raise themselves. The role that we play in our children's lives is an extremely important role. The closer our relationship is with our children the closer they will stay to you and tell you all their adventures, whether they be good or bad.
