Donkey Kong 64

If you are looking for a fantastic adventure game that will entertain both you and your kids, look no further than Donkey Kong for the Nintendo 64. From the moment the game was plugged up and we began our adventure, we were hooked. The first evening, which happened to be New Year's Eve, found my son and myself trading the controller back and forth for different puzzles and strategies until the wee hours of the morning. We were both on the same adventure and had lots of laughs yelling at each other to try this, or push on that, or shoot him! Where else could a family of apes armed with a coconut gun, a peanut gun, a grape shooter, a bow and arrow, and a pineapple blaster seek to conquer the evil which has invaded their land?

The characters themselves have their own distinct personalities, and as you work your way through the video game, you see which monkey family member you need to use for each puzzle, or battle. Everyone in your family will have their favorite monkey. It could be Donkey Kong with his leadership of the monkey clan, or little Diddy blasting off with his jet pack.

It could be Lanky with his goofy looks and happy demeanor, or it could be Tiny with her ponytail twirl moves that never fail to knock out a baddie or two. The biggest monkey, Chunky is sweet, but not-so-smart and very funny when he is scared and hides his face with his hands.

The Donkey Kong adventure has wonderful graphics and is very well written. I would recommend it to anyone who is looking for an amusing and challenging adventure video game.
