Dish TV Or Direct TV

With the newest technology changing things all around, it's coming down to we all are going to want to switch over to satellite dishes, or having to buy a completely new television set for every room we are used to watching tv in.  The choice between Dish TV and Direct TV then comes to hand, since they are the top two satellite companies available. It becomes a personal choice, as both have their pros and cons.

Currently, Dish TV is number one choice in America, with Direct TV coming in close behind.  I have looked over the current sales going on with each site, trying to decide which is better for me. For me, I chose Dish TV, based on the price and the fact that I like movies more than I like to watch sports.

Here is my comparison of the two services:

Dish TV

Currently offering an 18 month sign up, for $34.99/month with a $49.99 credit on your 1st invoice.

Free installations of equipment

$5.98 extra/month for DVR on two television sets, includes the equipment

Three months free programming on over 100 channels

24/7 customer support

Three months free HBO or Cinemax

. Direct TV

Currently offering a 12 month sign up, for $39.99, after mail-in redemption.

Free installations of equipment

$5.99 extra/month for DVR on two television sets---equipment only available for purchase separately.

Over 200 channels available with standard service

Three months free HBO, Cinemax, Starz, and Showtime included.

24/7 customer support

My over-all opinion is Dish TV costs less, but you get more selections from Direct TV. So it boils down to how much television do you watch, and what is most important to you, price or selection.
