Country Club

You may think of the country club as something for only the very rich, or as something that has gone away and is only now seen in movies. The truth is that there are many of them out there, and you don’t have to be rich to be a member. You do have to have some income that you can put away for this purpose, but you don’t have to be a high flyer or the CEO of a company to get in the doors. When you join, you will find that there are some great advantages of being a member.

As long as the price tag that comes with being a member of a country club doesn’t hurt you financially, there are many great benefits. These places are usually connected with a golf course, and this course is usually always one of the best you can find. The country club in my town has a course that is so nice it is a part of the LPGA tour each year. Though we are not members, we know a few people who are, and they love to invite my husband along to play on the course. He agrees that it’s a good one, but it’s not something we want to invest in at this time.

There are other great things about being a part of a country club. You have a place where you can get away when you need quiet, and you don’t want to mingle with a lot of younger folks. Bars can be a lot of fun, but there are times when the rather quiet atmosphere of the country club is something that you need to relax and unwind. You can also use the facilities if your child is getting married, or you have some other special event coming up. There are many other great benefits as well, and each one has their own set of specials just for their members.

There are a few downfalls to being involved in a country club, but you may not have to worry about them as much. You can’t really take all of your friends with you when you go, but there is also no rule saying that you have to hang out there all of the time. When something goes wrong at the country club, as in a problem with the golf course or a building, members sometimes have to share the expense of getting it fixed. You may be able to comfortably afford the membership, but you have to think if you can afford to pay for much more.

Be aware that if something needs repairing, themembers may be requested to chip in to get the item or area repaired.
