The Classic Mario Brothers
I was never one for video games when I was a kid, though I did enjoy a few games in our local arcade. I never really got into them until my father mailed me his old Nintendo system when I was in college. With this system he sent me Tetris and Super Mario Brothers. I had played Tetris before, so I played it quite often and forgot about the other game. When my brother came to visit, he got out the Mario 3 game and showed me how to play it. I had no idea how much I would love the game, and I played it nonstop for quite a while.
Now that I am much older, I tend to play a few games with my husband now and again, but I have not played Mario Brothers games in quite a while. I have tried many different games on newer systems, but I find that I am never very good at them. The Mario Brothers seem to be the only games that I can play with ease, and play well. Perhaps they are simple enough in motion so that I could master the moves rather well. Today’s games are more 3D in nature, while Mario always went from left to right and that was that.
When my husband and I got new computers, we gave our old one to our daughter. She does not use it very often, and it is mostly used to play educational games. She loves playing them and has become very good at it. My husband dug up an old program that has a lot of older arcade and video games on it, and the Mario Brothers games are all on there. I could not believe it, as I have long since lost my Nintendo and hadn’t played Mario in years. However, there is was right in front of me. I tried to play for a while, but I had a hard time using computer keys instead of the controller.
That did not stop my daughter, however. She went nuts with the Mario Brothers games. In fact, it came to a point when I had to unplug her computer because she would not get off of it. I don’t mind her playing a little bit, but it should be a small diversion, not an obsession. She only plays Mario Brothers now and again, but she does seem to talk about the game a lot. I have decided that perhaps she needs to find some Mario collectibles so she’s not so keen on firing up her computer all the time just to hang out with Mario.

Classic Mario brothers is one of the most addicting video games out there. Thanks to Nintendo for bringing this funny little character to life for millions of people to enjoy for generations. Mario is alive and well and you can find many different games starring this character.
