Baby Jungle Animals
When my kid was born, we decorated the whole room in baby jungle animals wallpaper. We put a lot of thought into how to decorate the room. My wife wanted something more sedate and mellow. She was afraid that the baby jungle animal décor would frighten the kid. After a while, however, we found a pattern that we both liked. Although they were technically animals who, in the wild, would be ferocious, the wallpaper versions of them looked decidedly tame. We figured they were unlikely to scare any child too badly.
Anyway, all kids love animals. We had a baby jungle animal themed shower as well as painting the walls that way, and the child absolutely loved the jumper she got there. It had little zebras, tigers, and lions on it. She spent the whole time looking at her arm, admiring her clothing. I've never seen a newborn do that before. It looks like we are going to have a very smart baby when she grows up.
We also got her baby jungle animals mobile. She seemed to have more of a mixed reaction to that. When she first saw it, she laughed. Soon afterwards, however, she started to cry hysterically. When I tried swinging the mobile around, it only made things worse. Out of curiosity, we tried another mobile – no dice. It appears that she is just frightened of mobiles. Most babies really like them, but this one seems not to. Maybe when she is a little bit older, her opinions will change.
To be honest, I've taken a shine to the baby jungle animals myself. I like the animal theme in her bedroom. A lot of baby decorations kind of annoy me. I'm not a big fan of pastels, and I don't even like the painted-on night scenes that a lot of people use to decorate a baby nursery. The scene of lush tropical jungles with cute little exotic and strange creatures peering out, however, works very well with my aesthetic. I'm glad the baby likes it too. Otherwise, I feel guilty subjecting her to my tastes. As it is, everything seems to have worked out with setting up the nursery. The baby jungle animals were a good idea if I do say so myself. And of course, as my wife is so fond of pointing out, I usually do. What can I say – it's no crime to know when you are right.
Summary
Baby jungle animals are a great theme for kids rooms. Babies especially love to stare at the animals and colors. Most themes are a little too bold or cartoony. Jungle views with plants and little animals peeking out give babies something interesting to look at.
